On Tuesday Leakhena invited us over to her house, along with Amy and her two beautiful twins Reese and Riley, to play and have lunch. We haven't seen Leakhena much since Ava was dismissed from ECI (Early Childhood Intervention) so we were sooo happy to see her again. Leakhena and I built a special friendship over the 10 months that she worked with Ava. She came to our house for therapy every week and was a tremendous source of encouragement and support while I was learning to be a new mom and helping Ava with her torticollis and low muscle tone. She will always be a very special person to us.
We were excited to get to know Amy and her girls a little better too. Reese and Riley are also Leakhena's former patients. They were preemies and dealing with the same issues as Ava. All the girls have come such a long way and it was so sweet to watch them play along side each other.
Ms. Khena should feel very proud of all that she has done to help these three special little girls.

Cute pics!! We had SO much fun! Can't wait until next time. :)
Yeah, there sure is alot to be grateful there, with the way you found such a wonderful therapist/cheerleader/Ava advocate, to the way that Ava had such a wonderful mommy and daddy to help her, to Ava's stregnth and determination itself! All the right elements! We are so happy for you guys!
