More Pumpkins

Mikey had the day off on Monday so we decided to go to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch that we had been hearing about. It was fun but I think in a year or two Ava will be able to enjoy it even more. Many of the kid activities, like bounce houses, were for the older kids but she still had fun walking amongst all the pumpkins and seeing a few friends along the way.

Arriving at the pumpkin patch

Rearranging the pumpkins in the "pumpkin house"

The family

The look of joy on her face when she turned the corner and saw these familiar friends, The Backyardigans (aka, Mommy's favorite cartoon), was priceless! I think she is clapping her hands here.

She just kept walking up to each one and pointing to them

Of course the one time I don't bring snacks she signs that she wants to eat. I think she saw the picnic tables and assumed it was time to eat.

Throwing hay again. What did I start?

She also saw her friends from Sesame Street!

And rode on a tractor

Before we left she had her first ever snowcone

That ice is cold!

> I was trying to edit this photo to add color only to the pumpkins but I realized that I don't know how to do that. If you know, please show me!

Teehee, I laughed out loud when I read your description of her amazement upon seeing her "friends" come to life! That is so cute Vaughanie! Oh and Bekah had her first snow cone on our family pumpkin patch day as well! Though she wasn't lucky enough to see those characters! Who are the backyardigans though? And about your photo editing, I only know how to do that on my camera . . . not on the computer. I am sure Cassie will know though!

what a fun place with all the "friends"! Alex would have loved that too! :) I can help ya with the photoshop- you need to use the magic wand tool. highlight the pumpkins you want using the shift key to keep adding more. go to select- select inverse. then go to enhance and select convert to black and white. or at least thats how I have done it. there may be an easier way ?? :)
