Kendall 6 months

Kendall girl you are half a year old!!!!!

Here are some highlights from the last month:

*You weigh 15 lbs. 6 0z (25%) and are 25.6 inches long (38%)

*You wear size 6-9 months clothes.

*You were dedicated to the Lord at our church on October 12th. What a special day!

*You take 3 naps a day. No nap schedule yet but I lay you down roughly between 8-9, 12-1, and 3-4. Your first two naps are usually between 2-3 hours and your last nap is about 45 minutes to an hour.

*You are still waking up once in the night to nurse.

*You can sit on your own for a few seconds.

*You have rolled over from your front to back and back to front but you don't do it often (I actually haven't caught you doing it yet, just seen you turned over in the opposite direction I had you in)

*You love to play with toys, especially ones on your jumperoo.

*I have started giving you solids and you are doing ok with them. You spit out about half of what I give you but I know it will just take a little more time for you to get used to solids. Besides baby oatmeal, you have tried sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and bananas.

*You have started drinking water from a sippy cup.

Kendall, you may be my third baby (and you might not get as many pictures taken of you or as many blog posts written about you, sorry!!) BUT I hope you always know that you hold a very special place in your mommy and daddy's hearts and we love you more than you will ever know. You bring us so much joy and I am so happy that you are apart of our family. You make us complete. We love you Kendall Vaughan!!!!

xoxo,
Mommy

Phone pictures (August-September)

First day of school wore him out!

She decided that was a good spot to draw :)

After bathtime sillies

Kendall is getting so big

But she really is just a tiny little thing :)

Ava and Connor were asked to be in Ryan and Lauren's wedding in March!

She wanted to give us all a "foot bath" complete with lotion and sparkly nail polish (even the boys got the sparkles)

She misses her little sister and always asks me if she can play with Kendall

She still makes time to draw and do crafts :)

We loved having lunch with Ava at her school

One of their special performances

Having a deep conversation about who knows what

Kendall loves being apart of the action and sitting in her bumbo seat

Ava asked if we do experiments one Saturday so thanks to pinterest we found a few simple ones

Waving to the garbage man on Mondays is still the highlight of his week

Ava has been asking to do dance so we signed her up for dance classes through our YMCA. The cost is super cheap, two of her friends from Pre-K are in the class, Connor gets to go to childcare during the class, I get to visit with my friend Liz, AND......the recital is FROZEN!! Win Win!

hehe

Tackling daddy
"Edging"

We play outside at least 2 hours on days he isn't in school
They don't interact a lot but he sure does love his little sister and is so gentle with her.
"Girls, do a dance pose."

Hair salon is a favorite activity around these parts
He wanted to carry his own nap mat and bag when we left school. Such a big boy!

Kendall- 5 Months Old

My littlest chicken, you are 5 months old!

Here are some things about your cute 5 month self:

*You weigh 14 lbs. 7.5 ounces (I took you to the dr. for a cough and they weighed you. You just have a little cold).

*Most days you only want to nurse every 4 hours (sometimes longer). I have never had a baby that would refuse nursing but you do. It has to be when YOU are ready, even if that means just 30 minutes later.

*You are a flexible sleeper. I can't say that we have you on a true nap schedule yet but I dont know if that will ever happen because we are on the go most days with school drop off and pick up (and two days a week that is at two seperate schools). If you are really tired and desperate for sleep, you will nap in the car but you will fight it as long as possible.

*We can always count on a good morning nap with you after we drop your big sister and big brother off at school. That nap is usually between 9 or 9:30 and lasts about 2 hours or more. Some times you aren't able to settle down easily for your second and third nap (let me think, do you take 4 naps?) and I have to bounce you or carry you around the house in the Ergo till you fall asleep and then I lay you back down.

*You are about to cut a tooth any day now! I am pretty sure that has something to do with why some naps are hard for you. (Not to mention, your cradle cap is loosening on your head and I bet it is itchy and uncomfortable). It's tough being a baby! ;)

*You love to be wherever your brother and sister are. Your eyes are always fixed on them when they are in the room and you smile and get so happy when they talk and interact with you. It makes my heart happy to see the three of you together and happy.

*When like sitting in the bumbo seat, jumping in the jumperoo, laying on your playmat, and taking stroller rides in the big stroller so you can see out.

We love you Kendall Wendall!!!
