36 week updates

I am now 36 weeks along! I have been going to my weekly doctor's appointments and they have all gone well. I am slightly dialated but still have a ways to go. Today the doctor didn't do any kind of measurements, other than belly. We will see how far I have progressed when I go again next week. The doctor said that Ava is measuring about 6 lbs. I don't know how they are able to tell but somehow they can give you a good estimate. I only have about 3 more weeks left at work before I take it easy for a few days before Ava's birth. I hope she holds on till then! My mom had me 4 weeks early and I was a little over 6 lbs. That is like me giving birth now! Hold on little girl, give your Momma at least a couple more weeks!



Other good news...our crib arrived ahead of delivery schedule! We picked it up on Friday and assembled it on Saturday. All the major furniture pieces are now in the nursery, we just have to finish decorating. Here is what we have so far.

Let the transformation begin!

We, or should I say Mikey, have officially started transforming the "cowboy" room into Ava's nursery! Those of you who have seen the cowboy room before know how adorable the artwork on the walls looked...no longer! As perfect as it was for the people who lived here before us with their two little boys, Ava can not have a cowboy themed nursery. It would have made it easier for Mikey the painter but what we have planned will look so much cuter! Mikey applied the second coat of primer to the walls tonight and tomorrow we plan on testing the paint colors we got to see which one we like best. We already have our crib and the baby bedding so as soon as the room is painted they are going in the room! I can't wait to see how it all looks together. I hope I still like it!!

Nursery Ideas

We finally found some bedding that we like!! We ordered this bedding for the nursery from Pottery Barn Kids. It has already arrived and we LOVE it! We really like all the details of this room from the crib to the curtains and wall color so we are probably going to do the same look for Ava's nursery. I want to find a cheaper sleigh crib than this one so if anyone has seen one similar somewhere else let me know! I can't wait to get started transforming the "cowboy room" into the nursery! The room is going to look completely different.
We register this weekend for the rest of our baby stuff so that should be quite the adventure. :)
