Baby Update

21 weeks
(I am wearing my first pair of maternity pants. Super comfy!)



23 weeks
(My belly is at an awkward phase, it looks almost pointy!?)

I am now at 23 weeks and everything is going well. I can really feel Ava move now and it is most noticeable after I eat. I know she is sensitive to sound now because the other day Mikey bent down to my belly and said "Ava can you hear Daddy?" and then right afterwards she kicked and he could feel it. She hadnt been moving until he talked to her so it was really cute! If she could talk I pictured her saying "Yeah dad I can hear you now let me sleep. Take that! (kick)". haha! I have also been able to see my belly move a little when she is really active. It is crazy how fast she is growing in there.
Here is the latest update I recieved from babycenter...

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see her squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

On a side note, we started our registry this weekend! We spent at least 3 1/2 hours in Babies R Us yesterday scanning fun baby stuff. I had the scanner and Mikey checked things off our list and kept me on track. If he wasn't there to keep me focused it would have taken much longer and we wouldn't have registered for all the essential things we need. We still have some more things to add and another place to register at but I feel really good about what we got accomplished. Thanks Cassie and Char for all your helpful registering advice!!! We would be clueless if it weren't for yall.
