A&M Game

Last weekend we went to College Station to watch the Aggies get their butts kicked by OU. Despite the fact we lost it was great to get the family together again for an Aggie Football game. There were 13 of us in all and 5 of them were new attendees so it was a lot for them to soak in. When we are there for the game we try to take in the whole experience. We arrive early and have lunch at C&J Barbeque in Bryan and then we park and walk on campus to watch the band march in. That is my grandmother's favorite part so we can't miss it. We pretty much follow the band and the core in the stadium and then it is game time! In the past 2 years we have managed to get amazing seats, sitting on the alumni side very front row! This year however was a different story. We didnt realize how bad our seats were until we walked up the bleachers and found our spots right next to the OU band! It was awful. We didn't even feel like we were at an A&M game half the time because all we could hear was the OU band and the OU fans doing thier little cheers. Too make it worse we lost by so many points I can't even remember how many! It was the longest game ever and we decided to put ourselves out of our misery and leave by the 3rd quarter.

Lunch before the game at C&J's.

Watching the band march in.

Mikey's Dad and stepmom came with us for the first time.

I love this picture! My grandmother had to be right next to the band and the core as they marched in. They stopped and so she took the opportunity to talk to them. She kept yelling at them "Be strong, you are our future." It was really funny! She has such a heart for our military and absolutely loves the A&M core.

Uh yeah....told ya we were close to the band!! I was right there next to the symbols and the trumpets to make it even worse!

I meant to ask you all about the game when I saw you, thanks for this excellent update! Sorry about the game, we too wanted A&M to beat OU! I loved the picture of your grandma talking to the core member, too cute! I look forward to seeing her at one of your showers! Have fun looking for nursery stuff this weekend!
