38 weeks and counting

I can't believe our little girl can make her appearance at any day now! At first I was thinking she might come early but I am beginning to think she might hold off till closer to her due date. Still, we never know! At my last doctor's appointment my cervix had thinned quite a bit but I still hadn't dialated much. The nurse had to do my exam, doctor had an emergency c section, and she could actually touch Ava's head while she was checking everything out. Maybe too much information to share but I thought it was really cool! She is definitely at the starting gate! I haven't had any braxton hicks contractions, at least I don't think I have, and the baby hasn't "dropped" but the nurse said that these things aren't uncommon with your first pregnancy and she still could come early. If I can just make it to Friday and finish my last week of work then I would be just fine if she came early. Of course having some time at home to rest would be great too! My mom and Brianna are coming to stay with me a week from Monday! It will be nice to have my mom here since she has gone through this before and can help ease my nerves. My next appointment is Tuesday so I will post that evening what the status is, if any!
