20 weeks

I am 20 weeks along now and doing well. I went in last week for a sonogram and baby boy is developing as he should and measuring right at 20 weeks. Seems like we are still on track for a baby sometime around March 17th. The other wonderful news, and main purpose for the sonogram, was that the dr. measured the hematoma and it is measuring about 40% smaller than it was a month ago!! I have been waiting to hear that news for so long! I will continue to limit my activity and rest when I can in hopes of it getting even smaller. I go back again in 4 weeks for another sonogram. The dr. is optimistic that by 28 weeks it might be completely gone! Having a "normal" pregnancy again and not having to worry about the hematoma affecting this pregnancy would be such an answer to prayers.

Aside from the occasional mild cramping I have been feeling fine. Whenever I feel them I know it is time to sit or lay on the couch for awhile. I take a nap or lay down at a minimum of 2-3 hours everyday when Ava is napping. Nothing gets done around here and the house is constantly a mess but I am learning to let those things go. I am feeling baby boy move all the time now. I can mostly feel him when I am laying still. Mikey felt him for the first time last week too so that was exciting for us. Ava has started talking to my belly and saying "Hi baby brother, it's Ava" and giving him sweet little pats and kisses. We still haven't decided on a name yet but as soon as we do we will share. Ava has already picked out a name for him but we are still not 100% sold on one yet. I have been having fun planning out the nursery for our little guy and my sweet grandmother has offered to make the bedding for us. It will be beautiful and so special. I can't wait for it to all come together. I have to remind myself that I have plenty of time to get it all ready. I was so anxious with getting Ava's nursery ready and this one is no different. I already have our painters (Alli, Greg, and Mikey) scheduled to paint the nursery walls and the twin beds for Ava's room in a few weeks. :)

Thank you again to all of you who have been so supportive through this entire pregnancy. All the phone calls, emails, and texts to check in and see how I am doing, as well as and most importantly your prayers, have meant so much to me. I have been reminded through this how blessed we are to have so many wonderful people in our lives. We love you all.

so glad things are going well and the hematoma is shrinking. You look amazing and no one would even know there is a sweet little boy in there!
