What Ava Wore

Ever since Connor was born (and maybe even a little sooner) I have been letting Ava pick out our her own clothes in the morning. She never likes what I pick out for her to wear and it is just easier to let her dress herself then deal with that battle everyday. I have mourned the matching outfits and cute bows and now I am embracing her independence and letting her express herself through her clothes. I always get a kick out of how she comes out of her room in the morning (lately she dresses herself the minute she wakes up.)

Have you ever seen those blogs that post "What I Wore" and they put pictures of their outfits for the week? Kinda interesting...

Here is Ava's version of WIW

She said "It's ok if I wear this shirt because if I get shweaty (pronounced with "sh"-love it) then I can push up my sleeves like this".

Doesn't every Janie and Jack dress look better with mismatched princess socks and pink shoes?!

And here are just a few random pictures that I never posted...

We admittedly watch way too much tv around  here. It's become my crutch to get things done and keep Ava happy when I am busy with Connor. :/

She loves to keep her brother entertained and bring him lots of toys to play with.

We paint all the time. We are running out of things to paint but we did find some shells!

I love my independent, creative, and sassy little girl!

Is anyone else ready for this weather to cool off so we can play outside?!!! We are running out of indoor activities and this girl needs to burn off some energy. The tantrums are becoming more and more frequent.... Hurry up Fall!

so cute! I need to do this with alex bc sadly he is just now in this phase of picking out his own clothes and coming out first thing in the morning dressed. and it is always mix matched :) Ava is pretty stylin :) and dont worry, our kids can have rotted out brains together! we love us some tv round here! keeps a momma sane! I kinda felt better about the olympics being on because I told myself it was history and educational and just for a short time- we have to watch! and as much as i was burnt out I am missing that extra break! thanks for the shell painting tip! I am on it with Ellie! try some puzzle races- put the puzzle in one room and the pieces in the other- can only take one at a time back and forth! Ellie loved it and got some energy out!
