Our little man is 8 months old!

Connor James, you are growing up WAY too fast for your mommy! You are such a happy light in all of our lives and we love you so much! This month you: *Started crawling!! You have the cutest little crawl where you scoot along and drag one leg. It doesn't slow you down much at all. You are all over the place! *Within a day of learning to crawl you pulled yourself up in your crib for the first time. Now you are unstoppable and pull yourself up on anything and everything, including Macy. |
Ahh, your sweet grin....instantly makes me happy!

| *Two of your favorite toys this month have been this plastic photo album for babies and this walker toy that Kay Kay got Ava when she was a baby. I don't know why you love the photo album so much but you get so excited when you see it and you won't let it go. |
*You still take two naps and go to bed ridiculously early. I try so hard to keep you awake until Daddy gets home so he can give you a hug and kiss before you go to sleep. There are many days during the week that you are already in bed before he gets home. It makes him sad when he can't see you. (in this picture you are holding the chewable photo album that you love so much.)
*Your hair is finally starting to come in! It is extra fluffy in the back and everyone loves to rub your head. You get lots of kisses from me on that fuzzy head! Love the back of babies heads!
*Your eyes are definitely going to be brown although most days that have a greyish tint to them.
*You still prefer mommy and anytime someone else is holding you you look around to make sure I am still nearby. Your sister doesn't look back when I leave her places but I think you are going to be much more attatched. I'm your girl till you are at least 16 remember!
*Another thing that you come to love is your taggie blankie that you sleep with. The second I hand it to you before bedtime you snuggle with it, put it in your mouth, and start closing your eyes. So sweet!
*Not sure if I have mentioned in other posts but every night before bed I sing or hum "you are my sunshine" while you snuggle with your blankie. The combo instantly puts you in a sleepy state (although mommy's singing is far from peaceful). I am so thankful that I can now just lay you down and you fall asleep on your own.
* You sleep from about 5:30pm-5:30 am and sometimes wake in between. You go right back to sleep when I nurse you and after I feed you around 5:30 in the morning you back to sleep till about 7 or so. Cant complain!
*You are still taking two naps but they arent really at a set time. Most Tuesdays and Thursdays your first nap is in the car because we have to drop off Ava at school. You usually make up for lost sleep on those days by taking a longer second nap. All in all you are a good (not great) sleeper. You get the hours of sleep you need in a 24 hour period it's just that your internal clock is set a little earlier than most.

*But you also have the cutest flirty grin. I love when you get excited about something because you hold your arms out wide, open and close your fists, and let out little squeals while scrunching your nose. Very funny!
Connor, I am so proud and so blessed to be your momma. These past 8 months with you have brought me challenges but so much more joy. I couldn't imagine my life without you! I love you sweetest boy!
