Here are some things that I want to remember about my cute boy during his 15th and 16th month:
*He loves to blow kisses before bedtime or when someone leaves
*He signs please all the time, pats his head when he hits it and gets a boo boo (which is often), and is trying to talk more and more. He says da (daddy),es-with a head nod (yes), ba (ball), bu bu (big boy), papa, pu (help)...he is most comfortable trying to say words that have a p, b, or d sound at the beginning. :)
*His hair is finally starting to grow!!! It reminds me so much of Ava's when she was little. It is the softest little fuzzy head you have ever touched and it sticks straight up. Love it!
*He wears size 18-24 months clothes, size 5 diapers, size 6 shoe, and weighs 27 lbs. (basically the size of a two year old!)
*He wants to do everything that big sister does and they are beginning to play and interact more and more. It's the best feeling in the world to know that there is a genuine love between them and that they are happy being together. Ava has really done well with her big sister role and loves being able to help us teach him things.
*He obeys and listens fairly well for a little guy. I think this is mostly because he is trying to prove to us and himself that he is a "bu bu" (big boy). I tell him all the time "good job connor. you are such a big boy". He seems to really like that. :)
*He still loves to vacuum but he has also taken an interest in mowing (inside only though). He was watching daddy mow outside so I brought him and his lawn mower outside to see if he would like to help. The sounds was a little too much for him and he got a little scared. He just stood there.
(Very scared at this point)
*He still rides in the stroller in stores but does such a good job at holding our hands and walking if we need him too. Him and Ava hold hands when we walk around places too and it makes me so happy.
*He is extra flexible with his sleeping lately. I thought after Disney World that he preferred one nap but if we are home (and he wakes before 7) then I will almost always lay him down for a morning nap and then again in the afternoon. On mornings when he "sleeps in" a little , I just lay him down for one nap around 11:30 or 12 and he naps for a couple hours. Because Ava gets up around 6:30 most mornings, I can usually lay her down for nap around this time too because she is already so tired. She is hit or miss with her naps (about 3 times a week) but quiet time in her room everyday is a must.
(I still put Connor in a giant sleepsack so that he doesn't think about climbing out of his crib. He has gotten used to it and it has become a sleep aid, just like his blankie. When he is sleeping in his sleepsack with his blankie curled up beside him, it's the closest visual I have of him being a baby. )
*The kid LOVES him some sunglasses (mine and Mr. Potato Head's especially) and wears them any opportunity I give him.
*He has enjoyed playing in the water this summer with his sissy! Usually a bowl of water and some cups do the trick!

*He is still the best snuggler around, especially when he is tired or gets hurt. I don't think Ava was ever like that. I hope he always makes time to snuggle with his momma.
Connor, you continue to brighten my days and fill my heart with happiness. You are such a blessing to our family and we all love you very much. :)
