July 4th

I am so behind on the blog. To my faithful blog readers (Mimi and Aunt Karen), I am sorry. I hope to keep the blog more up to date in the future....hope to.

Here are a few pictures that I took from our 4th of July weekend.

Ava and I did some sorting and patterning activities, made a few pom pom bracelets, and a festive cake banner to get ready for the big day.

We had a yard sale that Saturday and Ava had a lemonade stand. :)

Papa (my dad) came in town to visit us that weekend and it was so great to have him here! Alli and Greg came over to play as well.

Silly boy loves to wear the Mr. Potato Head glasses

We did a lot of playing in the baby pool in the front yard. I couldn't help but feel red neck playing in the front yard and sitting in lawn chairs. It was so fun though! (our backyard offers much more privacy of course but there is no shade to be found)

Since we had a sleeping toddler inside we brought the lawn chairs back out and sat in the front yard to watch the fireworks that were being shot off by the mall. Ava has a slight fear of fireworks so this worked out best for her anyway. We told her that they wouldn't be loud and they would be far away so she was excited to join us. We waited soooo long for them to start.

But they were worth the wait to see this smiling face

Much better view from the street.

Papa and Ava really bonded during his visit. They both have the tightest hugs out of anyone I know. Perfect match for each other. We also introduced him to a family favorite, the tickle pincher, which provided lots of entertainment. (I will get a video of the tickle pinchers soon. ;)

Family, Fireworks, Food, and Fun always equals a great 4th!
