19 week update

Macy kept getting in the picture so I finally just made her sit and look at me. It looks like she is thinking "what is going on in there"!

I am 19 weeks (4 months and 3 weeks) along in my pregnancy. Since we have found out we are having a girl my head has been spinning coming up with the perfect name for her and deciding on what to do with the nursery. Mikey and I have both agreed on a first name but we are still thinking about a middle name. Hopefully we can decide on one soon and her name will be complete!
I continue to feel great. I have noticed that my fatigue is subsiding a little bit, although Mikey and Alli would probably beg to differ! I feel like I have a little more energy than I did my first trimester. As of this week I am starting to notice my belly grow a little more each day. I can't button many of my jeans and pants without feeling sufficated so I have been wearing a rubber band around the buttons for a little extra room. Some days I go with my pants completely unbuttoned and no one seems to notice because I have shirts that cover them. It's almost time to whip out those maternity clothes, at least the elastic pants! I can't wait to have that cute baby bump! Keep growing strong little one!

Here is the latest baby update from Babycenter.com.

Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

I love this precious picture Vaughanie! Macy should always be in the picture now, sort of like the way Alex is always with his bear! : ) Glad to hear you are not feeling so fatigued! : ) Have fun maternity jeans shopping!
